Meet our Team

I created Big Bird Accounting to scratch my own itch. I looked everywhere and was unable to find an accountant that did the technical stuff well, had great client service, AND actively helped me reduce my taxes. So I built it myself. The goal here is simple – timely financial reports (P&L, etc.), quarterly strategic tax meetings, and taxes filed on time with maximum savings. Big Bird Accounting was created by Christopher Small to scratch his own itch. He was having a hard time finding a bookkeeper that was skilled at both bookkeeping AND customer service. That was a monthly flat fee service AND provided great value. That understood both the books AND the business strategy behind them. So he created his own. Big Bird Accounting is all about YOU. Helping you see your business’s financial picture clearly. Helping you strategize to pay less taxes. Helping you keep your CPA bill low with clean concise books. And helping your business grow with in-depth analysis and consulting. We can’t wait to work with you!

When I started Big Bird with my wife, Brooke, we had one singular goal – to provide the best bookkeeping service in the world. And that is our standard every day.

We work almost exclusively with law firm owners because that’s what I know best (I also own a law firm) and I love helping law firms grow.

When I’m not reviewing P&Ls and balance sheets, you can find me hanging out (or driving around) our five kids, playing tennis, or making videos. 🙂

Brooke Small

COO/Co-Founder

I love coming to work every day and thinking of ways to make our client’s lives easier.

Whether it’s high level systems or boots on the ground P&L work for a specific client, I know what sets us apart is the experience our clients have here at Big Bird.

When I have free time and there’s no kid duties, I’m all-in on tennis and hanging with friends.

I’m a bookkeeper with over 3 years of experience in accounting, and I love seeing my clients use the info. I give them to grow their businesses.

I specialize in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax preparation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. I manage monthly closes, clean up and support clients across various industries. I’m committed to continuous learning and delivering high-quality, reliable financial services.

When I’m not working I like hanging out with my family and crafting.
